COMMERCIAL PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

Showcasing Your Product

Commercial product photography describes imagery where the lighting, positioning of the product, and/or the background is designed to create maximum drama and intrigue.

This type of photography is typically used in advertising or promotional material such as product brochures, and is a mainstay of social media posts. The aim is engaging images that grab your potential customers’ attention, enticing them to find out more about your product. The emphasis may be on the product as a whole, or sometimes just specific details of the product - often highlighting the quality of the item or some unique aspects of its design.

Commercial product photography is not constrained by absolute realism, being more about creating maximum impact. Compared to other types of product imagery, it generally involves more complicated lighting, props, and advanced editing techniques like compositing multiple photographs together to produce an image that can’t be captured in one shot.

Words cannot describe how happy we are we started to collaborate with Dan. The photos and the videos he created for us are above and beyond what we expected. The attention to detail is just fabulous and Dan's knowledge of photography helped us massively because his suggestions took our initial plans many levels higher than we were planning.

Commercial product photography also tends to require more thought and planning, as there is usually a concept to the images, which needs to make sense in terms of representing both the brand and the product itself.
